The Piq-Bien toy sewing machine was a popular mid-20th-century children’s sewing toy, especially from the 1950s to the 1970s.
Made in France, it was mostly metal, often hand-cranked, and closely resembled real sewing machines while sewing light fabrics using a simple single-thread chain stitch (no bobbin).
Today, Piq-Bien machines are prized by collectors for their mid-century French charm.
